“JEFF SMITH ADVANTAGE” LIMITED WARRANTY
The “Jeff Smith Advantage” is a 5 year / 100,000 miles, Limited Vehicle Warranty. The “Jeff Smith Advantage” provides worry-free ownership for any one who purchases a pre-owned vehicle from Jeff Smith Chrysler Dodge Jeep.
Who Is Eligible?
Jeff Smith Chrysler Dodge Jeep offers and extends this limited warranty on mechanical defects on the components and parts described in the section below to the original purchaser only and apply only with respect to the motor vehicle described herein. This limited vehicle warranty is non-transferable or heritable.
What's Covered?
The Coverage of this warranty shall be limited to the cover components and parts listed below. There is no coverage for towing in the event of disablement.
When It Begins
The “Jeff Smith Advantage” Limited Warranty begins at the date of purchase of the pre-owned vehicle.
Excluded Vehicles
SRT vehicles, Sprinter vehicles, diesel equipped vehicles, all Ram Cab/Chassis vehicles, rental vehicles and government vehicles are not covered. Vehicles used as a police vehicle, taxi, limousine, postal delivery vehicle, or ambulance are not covered by the “Jeff Smith Advantage” Limited Vehicle Warranty.
Parts Covered
The “Jeff Smith Advantage” Limited Warranty covers the parts and components of your vehicle's powertrain:
Gasoline Engine:
All internal lubricated parts, including:
- pistons
- piston rings
- piston pins
- crankshaft and main bearing
- connecting rods and rod bearings
- camshaft and camshaft bearing
- timing chain or timing gears
- intake and exhaust valves
- intake manifold
- valve springs
- guides
- oil pump
- push rods
- rocker arms
- cylinder heads
The engine block is covered if mechanical failure was caused by the above listed parts, excludes seals and gaskets.
Transmission:
All internally lubricated parts contained within the transmission case and /or torque converter case, transmission case and torque case if damaged by the failure of an internally lubricated part. Does not include the clutch assembly, clutch pressure plates, flywheel, throughout bearing, seals and gaskets.
Drive Axle Assembly:
All internally lubricated parts contained within the drive axle housing. Drive axle housing if damaged by failure of any internally lubricated parts. Excludes drive shaft and universal joints, including constant velocity joints and assemblies, seals and gaskets.
What is not covered by the “Jeff Smith Advantage” Limited Vehicle Warranty
Malfunctions resulting from collision, vandalism, neglect, improper maintenance, excessive abuse, falling missiles or objects, fire theft, larceny, explosion, lightening, earthquake, windstorm, hail, water, flood, malicious mischief, riot or civil commotion. The replacement of maintenance items (such as spark plugs, ignition points, positive crankcase ventilator valve, filters, lubricants and oil, brake and clutch linings, electrical items) made in connection with normal maintenance services. Any other repairs to parts of the vehicle not specifically indicated under sections (b) and (C) in this warranty, including seals and gaskets.
